You can help reduce hygiene poverty for disadvantaged members of the community.
A local community member Jodie has launched a compassionate initiative called The Purple Bins Project, to combat this issue head on.
Hygiene poverty is a stark reality in our communities, where essential personal hygiene products become unaffordable luxuries. No person should go without these products. Products that keep us clean and healthy.
As the project founder and lead, Jodie is reaching out for community support.
They have 18 purple collection bins ready to go. Ready to start collecting donations.
Currently they have nowhere to put our stock. With 18 Purple collection bins, they will have lots of stock coming in.
They urgently need a sizeable room, shed, warehouse to sort and store our products effectively. Volunteers will sort and assemble the toiletries care packs.
Purple collection bins will be located in various public locations across Adelaide, inviting the community to donate NEW toiletries for men, women and children in disadvantage and need. The Purple Bins serve as beacons of hope, offering a tangible way for individuals to contribute to the well-being of others.
Families and people out there are doing it tough. Cost of living has increased a lot, domestic abuse in families, people sleeping rough. They need what we can offer through this project.
The Purple Bins project partners with local organisations, gifting the toiletry care packs to them. They pass packs directly to the people they support facing need/disadvantage.
